1. Only Facebook Pages can be connected to third-party tools like Lately.
2. If you're trying to connect a Facebook Profile account, you’ll need to convert it to a Page by reaching out to Meta tech support.
1. Open a new tab and navigate to facebook.
2. Log in to your desired account.
3. Navigate to the Pages tab on the left side of the screen. (You might need to click the See More option first.)
4. On the Pages screen, your account should show up like in the example below.
5. If your screen doesn't resemble the example above (but with your own Pages listed), you’ll need to create a new Facebook Page or convert your existing Profile to a Page.
6. To convert, just reach out to Meta technical support.
7. To create a new Page account, follow the instructions from this link: Creating a New Facebook Page.
• Click Connect Facebook from the options.
• If you're not logged in to Facebook, do so now. If you're already logged in...
• Click the button labeled Continue as _____.
1. Facebook/Meta requires that you Select All accounts during this step.
2. Once all are selected, cilck Next.
* Important: You'll be able to choose exactly which connected Facebook channels you'd like to utilize and publish to once you're back in Lately.
• Ensure that all of the following options are toggled YES as seen below.
• Lately may not work properly if you turn off any of these options.
• Click Done.
1. Check the box/boxes of the accounts you want to Lately to be able to publish to.
2. Once done, click Add Selected Accounts.
3. If this is the first time connecting Facebook to Lately, you'll see a blue Connected box when completed.
Thats it! Lately is now connected to your chosen Facebook accounts. Don't forget you can always connect to more later on as well by following these steps:
1. Click My Account from the top left of the screen.
2. Select Publisher from the dropdown menu.
3. Click Connect and choose from the available channel types.
4. Repeat Steps 1 & 2 to recconnect any expired channels.
